Eric Bailey

San Francisco, CA

For Northern California-based oil painterEric Bailey his color-soaked canvases serve as more than just a creative outlet — it’s a timetable of his life’s current and past events, interests, and reflections. Continually culling inspiration from his surroundings, his work evolves and morphs as he moves around California’s soil. From living in the depths of downtown Los Angeles to the rustic outer lands of Santa Cruz Mountains — he’s taken relics of each location to grow his art into what we see today. Which is what Bailey describes as “discovering beauty in the simple, every day things, old and new.” Much of Eric’s art aesthetic is weighted within the brushstrokes, and in which paint is applied — and small abstract compositions amassing to one, whole image.

Raised along the Northern California coast with constant creativeness bestowed upon him from his Mom and her eclectic circle of friends, Bailey presented a passion for fine arts from a young age, and after graduating High School 1997 attended The Academy of Art San Francisco. He graduated in 2001, and holds a B.A. in Fine Arts and Illustration. He currently resides in San Francisco, California.
